Strewth! Chucking data into a Sqlite database and running Python in the browser on the fly - that's bloody ripper, I reckon. Ages ago, I had a crack at using Datasette to suss out some Kaggle metadata. Whacked it up on Google cloudrun, but it was costing me seven dollarydoos a month. Bit rough on the hip pocket, so I gave it the flick.
Later on, I copped an earful about this 'Datasette lite' business. It's basically Datasette having a go in your browser, powered by WebAssembly and Pyodide. What's the go with that? Well, cobber, it means I can knock up a sqlite db on me local machine, chuck it on S3, and then fire up Datasette lite. Beauty!
